About

Born and raised in Southern California, Mike Deasy began playing the guitar and singing at a young age. By the time he was in high school, Mike was playing in rock concerts backing up artists like The Everly Brothers, Ricky Nelson, and The Coasters. After graduation, he went on tour as a sideman for early rock 'n' roll legends Richie Valens, Duane Eddy, Chubby Checker, and Eddie Cochran.

Leaving the road in the early 1960s, Mike would soon become one of the top studio guitarists in Hollywood, working with performers such as Elvis, The Beach Boys, The Monkees, Kenny Rogers and the First Edition, The Turtles, Frank Zappa, The Jackson 5, Diana Ross, Billy Joel, Frank Sinatra and Barbra Streisand; movie soundtracks of the top films of the day; many TV commercials, including Coca-Cola and Mattel's Barbie dolls, and television shows such as "The Andy William Show", "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour", and "The Sonny and Cher Show".

In concert, Mike Deasy, as one of the most recorded guitarists in the history of music, presents his uniquely fashioned lyrics and melodies in a powerful musical way few others can. And as a dynamic speaker, Mike shares his incredible life story in a humorous and entertaining way.

He captivates audiences of all ages, relating his past experiences and the powerful influence music has on the human mind. Mike presents an exciting program of self-esteem with the positive message of saying "YES TO LIFE." His skill on the guitar and his songs generate a progressive energy for LIFE that fills the room and hearts with hope and joy.

His "YES TO LIFE" concerts have been presented throughout the United States and Canada and even into Europe and the former Soviet Union. It has had a powerful effect on the youth, the schools and their communities in a very lasting, positive way. Today, that positive message continues as Mike and Kathie co-pastor Rock Church, a unique online ministry.
